Senior Accountant – GTA Audit Practice
Join BDO’s GTA Audit Practice from one of our offices in Toronto, Oakville, or Markham. In this role you will lead and conduct audit and review engagements, prepare working papers and financial statements, coordinate year‑end assurance engagements, and support business development.
Responsibilities- Lead and conduct audit and review engagements, preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory and firm standards.
- Coordinate year‑end assurance engagements for clients across a range of industries, including providing information for corporate tax filings.
- Apply working knowledge of accounting frameworks such as ASPE, ASNPO, IFRS, and US GAAP as appropriate to client needs.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships by responding promptly to requests and delivering high‑quality service.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients.
- Communicate regularly with engagement team members to provide progress updates and raise issues proactively.

- Build strong client relationships, being described as professional, positive and delivering high‑quality work.
- Identify and recommend effective service delivery solutions.
- Actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and forward‑thinking strategies.

- CPA designation completed.
- Minimum 3 years of external audit experience in public accounting.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP standards.
- Strong teamwork, client service, problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
The expected range for this role is $62,000 to $96,000.
