Accounts Payable Clerk

Position: Accounts Payable Clerk – 15-Month Contract
Pursue your accounting career with Walker as an Accounts Payable Clerk on a 15-month contract at our Caledon, Oakville, or Niagara Falls office. You'll facilitate the smooth processing of invoices and payments.

This role calls for a detail-oriented individual with a background in accounting, ideally possessing at least one year of experience in accounts payable. You will ensure the organization’s P2P process runs efficiently while interacting with both internal teams and external vendors. Your meticulous approach will be vital in maintaining financial accuracy and resolving accounting discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Match invoices against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy

• Process payment methods per company policies

• Monitor invoice approvals to adhere to deadlines

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities

• Maintain organized accounts payable records

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum one year experience in a finance role

• Knowledge of ERP systems;
Oracle Cloud is advantageous

• Strong organizational skills and time management

• Exceptional attention to numerical detail
