Controller Construction Firm

Elevate financial operations as a Controller at a leading construction firm in Oakville. Take ownership of the accounting cycle and lead a dedicated team in this hands-on role.

This position is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for numbers and a background in commercial construction. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll oversee daily accounting operations, ensure timely financial reporting, and lead the transition to a new ERP system. Collaborate closely with project teams and be part of an established firm's next growth chapter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a collaborative accounting team

• Own full cycle accounting, including job-cost accounting

• Oversee WIP reporting and revenue recognition

• Manage month-end close, producing financial statements

• Prepare HST filings and coordinate year-end tax processes

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance

• Strong CPA background preferred

• Proven leadership and mentoring skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
