Transactional Accountant at Distribution Firm

This position requires a steady accountant with over 5 years of experience. You will tackle reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records, and manage day-to-day accounting activities, contributing to the smooth running of the business operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet accounts

• Record daily accounting entries, including journal and cheque activity

• Monitor banking activity across Canadian and U.S. accounts

• Manage payment processing for suppliers and equipment

• Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in a transactional role

• Strong understanding of reconciliations and month-end processes

• Experience with inventory or cost accounting is an asset

• Payroll and GST/HST experience preferred

• Sage
300 experience is a strong asset
