Dufferin Construction Health and Safety Advisor

Dufferin Construction is hiring a Health and Safety Advisor for a full-time, permanent position focused on enhancing safety protocols across multiple projects in Southern Ontario. Take the lead in ensuring compliance and fostering a safety-first culture.
As a Health and Safety Advisor, your role will entail supporting the safety culture through various training initiatives and compliance efforts. Candidates must bring at least five years of experience in health and safety, preferably in construction. You'll play a crucial role in site audits, managing quality assessments, and mentoring during health and safety meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main contact for safety concerns

• Organize and lead safety training and culture change

• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations

• Conduct safety audits on-site across projects

• Collaborate with OHS teams on updates for SOPs
Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety

• Over 5 years in a related role, construction preferred

• Knowledge of OHSA and relevant legislation

• CRSP certification desirable

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
