Grade 11 & 12 Chemistry Teacher

We are seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for our Oakville Uptown Core learning centre. This position is ideal for anyone passionate about science education and eager to help high‑school students succeed.

• Work evenings, 1–2 evenings per week, Monday–Thursday, 3:45 pm–8:00 pm.
• Commitment through the end of the term in June; summer continuation highly preferred.
• In‑person teaching; must commute to Oakville, ON.
• Vulnerable‑sector screening required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sciences.
• Teaching certification or equivalent credentials are an asset.
• Knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, especially senior Chemistry and Biology.

• Experience teaching or tutoring math and/or science at the Grade 9–12 level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to guide student understanding.
• Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.

• Teach up to three students at different levels, both online and in person.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

• Evenings, Monday to Thursday.
• Hourly rate: $19–$21 /hour.
