St. Mildred’s‑Lightbourn School (SMLS) is an independent school for girls from JK to Grade 12 located on 10 acres in Olde Oakville.
Role OverviewMiddle & Senior School Health & Physical Education Teacher to support the vision of empowering young women. The role involves developing and delivering creative, inquiry‑based programming and meeting individual student needs.

3+ years teaching Middle/Senior School Health & Physical Education - Additional Qualifications:

- Teach Health and Physical Education classes within the Middle & Senior School.
- Provide inspirational health and fitness learning experiences for students.
- Work collaboratively within the department and faculty on curricular initiatives.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with students, faculty, and parents.
- Contribute to the co‑cultural life of the School as an athletics coach.
- Play an active role as a faculty member by engaging in professional learning, school activities, and special events.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Enthusiastic, articulate, and creative communicator.
- Confident in innovative, differentiated, student‑centered learning.
- Critical thinker with initiative, integrity, and attention to detail.

Annual compensation is based on the Faculty Salary Grid, factoring in qualifications and up to 12 years of experience:
Entry to 6 Years: $62 436 – $95 210;
Over 6 Years: $90 962 – $123 876.
SMLS is a member of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). Artificial intelligence or automated decision‑making tools are not used in screening or selection.
