Toddler Montessori Teacher

Tanglewood School is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced Montessori trained TODDLER/RECE Teacher. This position is ideal for someone who is a seasoned teacher and is looking to develop their teaching experience in a Montessori setting.

Qualifications

Toddler Montessori Diploma (AMI/MACTE) or Early Childhood Education Diploma

Minimum one year experience working in a Montessori setting is preferred

Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening and Criminal Check

Up to date Immunizations Records

Knowledge of Ontario’s Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)

Display strong leadership and communication skills (oral and written)

Be able to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment

Professional, mature, warm, patient and nurturing

Current First Aid and CPR certifications

Strong computer skills (must be comfortable with Microsoft Office)

Job Responsibilities

To plan and implement an effective Montessori program for children within a warm, safe and nurturing learning environment

To supervise the children at all times while allowing them to be independent

Responsible for maintaining a prepared environment

Prepare monthly classroom planning and newsletter

Responsible for diaper changing and/or assisting with toileting

To communicate with parents on a daily basis in an open and supportive manner

To maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and courtesy at all times

Perform other duties as assigned
