Join one of the world’s leading suppliers of wind power solutions, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as an OPS Electrical Specialist. This position is responsible for performing and reporting on various troubleshooting tasks, turbine inspections, and component repairs. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting support on all components associated with the wind turbine. 95% travel from site to site is required.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to describe complex damages, participate in the preparation of inspection and repair reports, and follow up on final resolution.
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance and electrical testing equipment for turbines. Identify process improvements, including reduction of non‑value‑added operations, increased productivity opportunities, increased safety opportunities, etc.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time - up to 95%.
- Technicians must be able to work within the maximum safety guidelines using personal protection equipment.
- Perform other duties – safe, team‑oriented work habits are essential.
- Assist site O&M and troubleshooting efforts when needed.

Work Experience:
2-4 Years – Required. - Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time - up to 95%.
- Driving is an essential function of the job, and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with a clean driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and an acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks throughout employment with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
- Technicians must be able to work within the maximum safety guidelines using personal protective equipment.

The electrical team consists of highly skilled troubleshooters who have advanced training in various platforms in the U.S. and Canada.

Pay TransparencyThis position is based in Oakville, Ontario. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
