Production Control Analyst - Automation

The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Control Analyst to join our dynamic automotive team. This position will play a key role in defining, deploying and scaling autonomous mobile robots (AMR) within Oakville Assembly Complex. The role works cross-functionally within the Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L) department to support modernization of in-plant logistics, increase safety, improve quality and enable Best-in-World manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities   Manage / Monitor AMR fleet management system.
Troubleshoot system communication issues.
Investigate operational improvements with new technology.
Research, develop, implement new technology in the AMR realm to optimize material flow.
Work with SMART SMF Coordinator to ensure proper system setup.
Audit AMR performance.
Work in conjunction with IT to help ensure communication on the shop floor between various technologies is fluent through Ford Systems.
Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance AMR throughput, uptime, fleet behavior, and system robustness.
Qualifications   Bachelors degree in engineering technology, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field
2 years of experience working in automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment
2 years of experience with PLC controls, industrial robotics, AMR/AGV platforms or virtual commissioning tools.
Even better you may have   Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to AMR/AGV technologies
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000- $135,000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
