A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Field Service Representative Co-op you will experience life and work in the field being mentored by our experienced team to assist our site staff and provide technical assistance to advise customers, trades or Siemens Energy labour with the inspection of large industrial power generation equipment across Canada. You will also be involved in the preparation planning process, and auxiliary supporting services that drive successful field service projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Troubleshoot equipment problems and liaison with design engineering groups to determine solutions.Review engineering drawings, design specifications and field procedures for equipment disassembly, inspection and reassemblyProvide indirect supervision of trades ranging in groups of 1 to 30 persons for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembling large steam turbines and gas turbine generators.Lead job site safety programs and performs site surveys to develop maintenance plans.Complete and submits detailed reports covering all job activity.Complete the planning and estimating of resources and durations required for specific scopes of work for customer proposals.Perform the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual mentorship throughout task duration.What You Bring
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree eligibilityPrevious Co-Op experience in construction, installation, mechanical commissioning, start-up, operation, overhaul or inspection of industrial equipment, rotating equipment preferably power generation gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated auxiliary equipment is ideal.A demonstrated interest in hands on mechanical maintenance of equipment. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, non-destructive inspections, vibration analysis is ideal.Demonstrated organizational skills to manage project scope, work with trades, updating progress, assessing priority to daily activities, liaison with engineering groups to resolve issues and updating schedules or status reports. Familiarity with related software such as Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed; over time is compensated. Available for travel up to 70% from homeEligible to hold a Canadian Passport; eligibility to enter the USA and/or apply for a US work visa.
