Quality Assurance (QA):
Develop and update QA processes, procedures and work instructions to maintain compliance with AS9100D, ISO
9001, ISO
17025, and NADCAP.Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit activities; ensure effective corrective and preventive actions implementation.Drive date integrity and traceability improvements across manufacturing and laboratory operations.Prepare quality performance metrics and trends to managementQuality Engineering (QE):
Develop and maintain process control plans, quality plans and inspection documentation for new and existing programs.Lead cross-functional investigations using 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodologies.Integrate Advanced Product Quality Planning and Product Qualification Methodologies into New Product Introduction programs.Partner with Engineering and Operations to embed quality controls into production planning.Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE):
Lead supplier qualification, performance evaluation and re-assessment activities.Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier NCRs and corrective and preventive actions.Implement and maintain the Supplier Quality Manual and ensure supplier compliance with standards.Quality Control (QC):
Program and validate CMM (Zeiss Calypso) and 3D Optical Scanner (Zeiss ATOS).Develop and optimize inspection methods, including the verification of metallurgical and mechanical testing resultsLead in-process monitoring and material verification for AM and machining operations.Train Quality Technicians in measurement and data-recording practices.Continuous Improvement (CI):
Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects within assigned processes.Analyze quality data and drive improvements in yield, defect rates, and cost of poor quality.Deliver training on quality tools and problem-solving methodologies to peers and operators.Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Materials Engineering or related technical field.Minimum 5 years of quality or process engineering experience in manufacturing (preferably aerospace, additive manufacturing, or precision machining).In-depth knowledge of ISO
9001 and AS9100D standards, and proven experience in leading audit, Corrective and Preventive Actions, and process improvement projects.Experience with ISO
17025 and NADCAP systems preferred.Six Sigma Green Belt and internal auditor experience required, Certified Quality Engineer is preferredTechnical
Skills:
Proficient in quality methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).Program and validate CMM (Zeiss Calypso) and 3D Optical Scanner (Zeiss ATOS).Advanced Proficiency in GD&T and reading and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the tolerancing concepts and how they relate to part functionality. Apply GD&T principles in inspection planning and root cause analysis.Leadership Competencies/

Exercise sound judgment in approving quality processes and audits.The expected annual salary range for this position is $78,720 to $98,400. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most offers will fall within this range and not at the maximum, allowing room for future growth. This position is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive plan based on individual and business performance factors, in accordance with Samuel's applicable incentive policy.
