At Siemens Energy, the electrical lead commissioning engineer plays a senior role in overseeing the commissioning and testing of complex electrical projects, making sure all work aligns with technical specifications and safety standards. This position involves guiding a technical team, managing project delivery, serving as the primary client contact, and performing hands-on tasks such as testing and fault diagnosis. Additionally, the role includes close collaboration on engineering, design, and acceptance testing for large-scale systems—like power plants, substations, and energy storage facilities—as well as equipment such as transformers, breakers, and switchgears.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead a team in the installation and testing of equipment, manage technical project execution, and act as the primary point of contact for clients and third parties.
Conduct and oversee comprehensive testing of high-voltage transformers, breakers, switch-gears, protection schemes, relay systems, and other electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform basic and detailed engineering, ensure all technical project documentation is complete, and collaborate on technical concepts.
Provide technical support, identify and resolve electrical issues, and offer on-site and remote support to customers, including training on equipment use and maintenance.
Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and internal standards. Manage punch list closure and coordinate with class approvals.
