Zarpac is a leading global provider of packaging line engineering, integration, and productivity services and solutions.
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This highly technical role requires a strong understanding of automation and packaging systems. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact and face of the company to key global clients within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact to support all customer needs and inquiries
- Provide technical expertise related to the packaging industry
- Build long‑term relationships with our clients
- Review and interpret customer and vendor drawings and specifications
- Meet with and communicate with customers on a regular basis to confirm status of project
- Manage customer and vendor change management and negotiations
- Manage the project team (including mechanical and electrical engineers) as well as support for the production department
- Create full‑line installation documents including BOM, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and layouts
- Check & validate all final design documentation and drawings according to design & contract requirements, to ensure completeness & accuracy
- Coordinate with all involved parties to ensure project is executed on time and within budget
- Lead the site commissioning and start‑up
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technologist (CET) or related field
- 8–10 years of technical experience in Engineering and Project Management in the packaging or automation industries
- PMP designation is considered an asset but not required
- Excellent verbal and written skills are essential
- Experience with end‑of‑line packaging equipment is considered an asset but not required
- Automation design and build experience required
- Experience with line layouts, equipment specifications and mechanical design required (AutoCAD)
- Equipment start‑up and debugging experience
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD systems is required
This role requires approximately 30% travel, primarily to customer manufacturing facilities in the United States, with occasional international travel; candidates must be able to meet cross‑border travel requirements as needed.
