GIS Application Developer

Position: GIS Application Developer (Contract)
Join our team as a GIS Developer for a contract position in Oakville, ON, available through December 2026. This role promotes a hybrid work model, enabling effective application development and management.

Your responsibilities will encompass designing, developing, and maintaining GIS applications tailored to user needs. You will also handle geospatial data management and ensure optimal performance of GIS solutions within the company. Expertise in programming languages, particularly .NET and Python, is essential for this contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain existing GIS applications and services

• Design processes for enterprise geospatial datasets

• Integrate GIS capabilities with other systems

• Collaborate on quality assurance and project updates

• Assist in user-requirements analysis and test plan development

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS development

• Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS products

• Familiarity with relational databases and data optimization

• Understanding of service-oriented architecture
