Technical Support Engineer - AGT

• Develop service-engineered solutions to meet product line requirements for the aero-derivative gas turbine fleet comprising SGT-A05, SGT-A20, SGT-A35 and SGT-A65 legacy engines including T-56, RB211, and Industrial Trent service and outages.
• Address emergent field service issues to support customer requirements for the aero-derivative gas turbine units in the Distributed Engineering group.
• Provide engineering support for ongoing outages through direct interaction with field service personnel and providing technical support for outage planning activities with the local project managers.
• Develop and implement service bulletin procedure modification orders on the existing fleet, focusing primarily on mechanical issues.

• A bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with gas turbine operations is required.
• Experience with aero-derivative gas turbines (ideally Siemens SGT-AXX) component design and service is a plus, along with strong background in rotating machinery, manufacturing methods, and mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in control systems (Rockwell Automation, Flexitrend FT‑series highly desirable). Knowledge of auxiliaries and package design related to AGT is desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work remotely (internally and externally) are essential, along with effective oral and written communication skills; 30–50% domestic travel is required.
• Helicopter travel to oil rigs will be required from time to time.

The AGT Technical Support Team comprises a multidisciplinary group of subject matter experts specializing in mechanical systems, electrical engineering, and control technologies. This team provides comprehensive operational support across the North America fleet, facilitating the execution of scheduled maintenance, responsive corrective actions, and strategic system upgrades and modifications to ensure optimal asset performance and reliability.

Location:

Ontario, Canada.
Base salary range: $52,080 – $102,080. Additional benefits include health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay.

Specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
