The Opportunity
Promation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our health and safety program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with Ontario legislation, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting a safe working environment across both office and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Program Support
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Promation's health and safety policies, procedures, and programs
Ensure alignment with Ontario health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements
Assist in maintaining an audit-ready and defensible safety management system

Compliance & Reporting
Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
Maintain accurate health and safety records, documentation, and reporting metrics
Support internal audits, workplace inspections, and compliance reviews

Training & Awareness
Coordinate and track employee safety training, including WHMIS, PPE, equipment safety, and other mandatory programs
Support the rollout of new policies, procedures, and safety initiatives
Promote a strong safety culture through employee communication, engagement, and awareness activities

Workplace Inspections & Hazard Control
Facilitate regular workplace inspections across office, manufacturing, assembly, and shop floor environments
Identify hazards and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Assist with risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic assessments

Cross-Functional Support
Partner with Human Resources, Operations, and leadership teams to integrate safety into daily operations
Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, documentation, and meeting requirements
Assist with WSIB claims administration and return-to-work coordination as required

Required Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, automation, or engineering environment
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations
Experience conducting workplace inspections, incident investigations, and hazard assessments
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 CAD
