Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (12- month Contract)

Introduction

We are seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineer (Contract) to support the delivery of large-scale, custom water technology projects for a globally recognized organization operating at the forefront of sustainable water and environmental solutions.

In this senior role, you will work within a cross-functional engineering team executing complex project designs while meeting customer expectations related to quality, schedule, budget, and risk mitigation. You will lead electrical and/or instrumentation design activities and provide technical leadership on large, complex projects, while also supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical and/or instrumentation design for complex, custom-engineered water technology projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects aligned with quality, schedule, budget, and risk objectives
• Perform instrument selection and prepare instrument and automatic valve lists, datasheets, and I/O lists
• Develop instrument installation details and supporting engineering documentation
• Design electrical control panels, including panel layouts and schematics
• Select and specify VFDs and motor starters
• Provide engineering support to production facilities as required
• Participate in customer-facing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
• Support projects through commissioning activities
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to new and junior EI&C engineers

Requirements

• Strong experience in electrical and/or instrumentation engineering within project-based environments
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, custom engineering projects
• Experience producing electrical and instrumentation design deliverables
• Comfort participating in customer-facing activities, including FATs and commissioning
• Ability to provide senior-level technical leadership without formal people management
• Strong collaboration, communication, and execution skills
