Dillon’s Water Resources Discipline is seeking an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to fill an existing vacancy within our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

Responsibilities Municipal Infrastructure System Modelling & Analysis- Serve as the technical lead for hydraulic modelling assignments for municipal clients, utilizing complex modelling software.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling using Info Works ICM (1D and 2D), PCSWMM (1D and 2D) and other closed conduit modelling platforms.
- Model development, calibration, and analysis of storm, sanitary and combined sewer systems for dry weather and wet weather flows.
- Develop and implement strategies for master servicing plans.
- Model, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.
- Provide technical input for the delivery of water resources projects for both public and private sector clients.
- Undertake and lead hydrologic and hydraulic modelling assignments, including the analysis of surface drainage, dual drainage systems, bridges and culverts, erosion and scour protection.
- Develop and implement stormwater management strategies to mitigate flooding for land development projects.
- Model, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.
- Provide technical input for complex or unique assignments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request.

- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
- Undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or applicable technical degree.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in a consulting environment or working on municipal infrastructure engineering projects in Canada.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong understanding of municipal and provincial design standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM (1D/2D), HEC‑RAS (1D/2D), HEC‑HMS, and related computer models.
- Understanding of sanitary system model calibration for both dry and wet‑weather flows.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

- Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis for water resources projects including stormwater management, and transportation drainage.

- Conducting Inflow and Infiltration analysis and basement flooding studies to support municipal infrastructure projects would be considered an asset.
