Shape the future of meteorological systems as a Meteorological Infrastructure Engineer at The Weather Network in Oakville, ON. This contract role prioritizes creating high-performance cloud infrastructure in a hybrid setting.
You will utilize your expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP to design, implement, and maintain robust systems. Your ability to apply infrastructure as code and manage CI/CD pipelines is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of distributed systems while enhancing data observability through modern tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver infrastructure services on Kubernetes and Docker
• Use CI/CD practices for deployment via Jenkins and Helm
• Advise on project prioritization and execution
• Integrate end-to-end monitoring in software design
• Create and maintain operational and automation playbooks
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years in Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Deep understanding of AWS, GCP, and networking protocols
• Experience with scripting in Bash, Python, and Terraform
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Elastic Search
