Lead Hardware Systems Engineer

Join Vital Biosciences as a Lead Hardware Systems Engineer in Oakville, Ontario, where you will manage subsystem reliability and coordinate across multiple engineering teams.

This full-time role is for an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for holistic product development. You will take full ownership of the subsystem’s lifecycle, ensuring readiness for milestones while tackling performance optimization and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with contract manufacturers on assigned modules

• Investigate and resolve production and testing issues

• Ensure technical success through integration and verification

• Manage communication and coordination across engineering teams

• Conduct V&V testing and reliability assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar

• 5-10 years' experience in product development

• Strong CAD capabilities, Solid Works preferred

• Experience in regulated industries is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills
