  • Work with a team to provide systems engineering and integration requirements responsibilities and oversight for projects involving multiple systems and subsystems.
  • Manage all requirement‑management activities using tools such as Helix ALM, IBM Doors, JAMA Connect, or similar.
  • Deploy and enforce Kiewit standard processes and tools, including configuration and change management.
  • Deploy the Requirements Management Plan and Requirements Traceability Matrix to demonstrate solution compliance with contract requirements through all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Collaborate with project configuration and change management personnel, interface management, and Systems Safety and Assurance groups.
  • Perform technical risk assessments on jobs the district is pursuing.
  • Maintain systematic, documented, and comprehensive key performance indicators across projects.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related field, or comparable work experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the US or Canada preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • At least 8 years of progressive work and project experience in infrastructure system design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Requirements Management principles and processes applied in infrastructure design and construction.
  • Knowledge of configuration and change management principles.
  • Familiarity with standards such as AREMA, MIL‑STD, IEEE, and EN.
  • Experience with HELIX ALM, DOORS, JAMA, or similar requirement‑management tools.
  • Understanding of engineering concepts, including design, verification, and validation.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of other systems and subsystems associated with infrastructure projects.
  • Membership or active participation in professional organizations such as AREMA or APTA is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, set performance goals, and deliver timely results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • INCOSE certification.
  • Understanding of construction means and methods, including familiarity with industry standards, practices, and regulations.
  • Experience in design and/or construction management of major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with AI agents and tools.
