Mechanical Designer

Position: Mechanical Designer at Thermon
Elevate industrial heating solutions as a Mechanical Designer at Thermon in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on design and engineering for mechanical equipment and packaged systems.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, the Mechanical Designer will manage design packages and ensure compliance with engineering standards. You will be involved in reviewing technical specifications and collaborating with production, welding, and quality assurance teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. A background in process design or electrical systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review technical specifications for design packages

• Prepare material lists and detail manufacturing drawings

• Ensure compliance with engineering codes throughout all phases

• Provide timely engineering support to stakeholders

• Participate in design review meetings for manufacturability

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering

• 0–10 years of relevant industrial experience

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Works, or PDMS

• Knowledge of ASME and ISO manufacturing practices

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
