Vendor Auditor II
What you’ll do
The Vendor Payment Auditor II role is responsible for problem solving and providing in-depth analysis to ensure the effective review of Accounts Payable spend and the prevention and collection payment errors. This role will be a subject matter expert, leading projects, and working closely with stakeholders. A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable and understands the end-to-end process.
This position will work alongside a team who are responsible for reviewing data to identify common errors, working with the vendor revenue department and buyers to correct root cause issues and deduct Vendors where claims are identified.
- Understand the audit guide and concepts and applies knowledge to various audit scopes.
- Utilizes resources to conduct vendor audits by examining various data sources.
- In depth knowledge of internal processes including accounts payable, financial data, purchase order, and inventory details.
- Present audit findings to management and other internal/external stakeholders
- Provide recommendations and action solutions for audit process improvements; may work with IT to implement and test system enhancements.
- Lead new and ongoing projects as the subject matter expert.
- Work closely and manage relationships with third‑party audit firms to review and approve claims.
- Create process documents and provide training and guidance to internal teams on audit processes.
- Review and understand in depth, contracts, agreements, paperwork, and electronic documents looking for possible missed opportunities in vendor funding.
- Identify issues and prevent claims from generating by working closely with upstream stakeholders such as buyers, supply chain etc.
- Identify variances and/or errors in the procurement and payment processes and provide solutions to increase revenue.
- Understand, manipulate, and analyze data (primarily in Excel or Access) to find patterns and potential errors.
- Prepare, create and process claim packages using appropriate audit concepts
- Ad-hoc analysis or projects as required
- University degree or College diploma in Finance, Accounting, or business‑related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience in an Accounts Payable and/or analytical role
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, People Soft is considered an asset
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Strong financial acumen and general accounting knowledge
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to effectively perform duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within various roles across the organization and external vendors

Our typical hiring range is between $53,000.00 and $88,000.00 per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job‑related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements.
