Accounts Payable Specialist

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Role
Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Oakville, Ontario. This position focuses on vendor relations, project support, and reporting within the Merchandise AP team.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be instrumental in resolving exceptions for key vendors and providing guidance on process improvements.

Your role will involve creating documents for standardized processes and responding to ad-hoc reporting needs. A solid understanding of financial systems and queries will aid your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve 3-way match discrepancies with vendors

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for AP processes

• Carry out ad-hoc reporting tasks as required

• Design and implement new departmental queries

• Maintain updated process documentation

Requirements:

• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with People Soft or similar financial systems

• 2-5 years of experience in a Finance role

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or similar disciplines

• VBA and SQL knowledge is a plus
