Shape the future of tax compliance as a Senior Financial Analyst at Empire Life. Leverage your expertise in Canadian tax to ensure efficient and compliant tax slip reporting.
As part of the Tax team, you will be integral to the production process, ensuring that we meet all compliance standards set forth by CRA and MRQ. Your responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement in tax-related policies while acting as an escalation point for complex taxation issues. This role also involves collaboration on special projects to enhance tax department efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the tax slip reporting production
• Ensure compliance with Canadian tax legislation
• Propose improvements to existing tax policies
• Act as a technical expert for taxation issues
• Support compliance with local and federal tax laws
Requirements:
• Over 3 years of Canadian tax experience
• Relevant university degree required
• Proficient in Power BI and Excel
• Knowledge of coding basics is advantageous
• CPA designation preferred
