Become a key player in patient care as a Personal Support Worker for Extendicare. This part time position focuses on meeting the diverse needs of residents through hands-on care and support.
Extendicare is on the lookout for a dedicated Personal Support Worker to aid in fulfilling residents' physical, emotional, and social needs. This role involves providing essential services such as feeding, bathing, and assisting with mobility. Experience in long-term care and familiarity with dementia and palliative care will be crucial in ensuring quality support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with ambulation, grooming, and feeding tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Engage positively with patients and families
• Comply with prescribed nursing care plans
• Work independently in community-based settings
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited PSW or HCA/CCA program
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred
• Proficient in care planning and documentation
• Strong English language skills
• Available for part time hours
