Rating Specialist

** This is a 12-18 month mat leave contract

• Rate freight bill Orders for:
  Less-than-Truckload, Full-Truckload, Warehouse, Courier, and Retail in a cross-border business.
• Communicate relevant information regarding shipments, including updating internal teams and customers.
• Resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with company internal and external personnel.
• Provide accurate information to relevant parties.
• Management of freight bills and supporting documentation for internal and external parties as required.
• Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, imaging of documents, and billing of freight bills.
• Monitor rating process and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage day-to-day Rating with core objectives for accuracy and revenue enhancement.
• Continuously work to maximize company revenue.
• Help to identify opportunities to support business growth.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a transportation environment, including:
• LTL & FTL operations (domestic and/or cross-border).
• Solid understanding of freight rate processes and applications in transportation (LTL / FTL).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in transportation management system (TMS), Excel, and Outlook.

$55,000 - $65,000/year
