Procurement Specialist

Position: Procurement Specialist – Alvarez & Marsal
Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Procurement Specialist to enhance procurement strategies within capital projects based in Oakville, Ontario. This role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills for effective vendor management.

As part of the Infrastructure and Capital Projects team, you will be responsible for overseeing sourcing activities, developing contract strategies, and ensuring alignment with project schedules. You will work closely with engineering and logistics teams to manage materials efficiently, helping to drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies that meet project goals and budgets

• Evaluate and negotiate supplier contracts for quality and pricing

• Issue and manage purchase orders ensuring timely delivery

• Collaborate with internal teams for material coordination

• Maintain procurement records for transparency and compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or business-related field

• At least 5 years of procurement experience in construction or infrastructure

• Strong contract management and negotiation skills

• Proficiency with procurement and ERP software

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
