Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Freight Billing Specialist for a 12-18 month maternity leave contract. This role is crucial for managing freight bills and enhancing customer interactions while ensuring accuracy in documentation.
Ideal candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience in transportation, specifically with LTL and FTL operations. You'll be responsible for the management of freight bills, supporting documentation, and effective communication of shipment status. Smart decision-making and issue resolution will be key factors for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Rate freight bill orders across various transportation types
• Update teams on important shipment information
• Build effective relationships with internal and external personnel
• Oversee data accuracy for billing and documentation
• Drive continuous improvements for the rating process
Requirements:
• At least two years in a transportation environment
• In-depth knowledge of freight rate processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in TMS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
