Purchasing Agent

Position: Purchasing Agent at Thermon
Enhance supply chain efficiency as a Purchasing Agent erage strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and ensure timely product delivery for our industrial solutions.

In this critical role, the Purchasing Agent will be pivotal in managing procurement activities and purchasing products and services. This includes preparing RFQ packages, processing purchase orders, and collaborating closely with the General Manager and production teams. Your strong analytical skills will help identify cost-saving measures and ensure alignment on delivery times with manufacturing demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Request for Quote (RFQ) packages and engage suppliers

• Process purchase requisitions and issue POs via AX12

• Manage supplier performance and communicate necessary changes

• Collaborate with teams on timely First Article deliveries

• Champion inventory accuracy through counts and metrics tracking

Requirements:

• Five years purchasing experience in manufacturing

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and AX12 ERP

• Expertise in negotiation and relationship management

• Experience with manufacturing Bill of Materials preferred

• Certifications like CSCP or CPSM are advantageous
