Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Facility Maintenance

Rate of pay: $20.50–$22.60 per hour

Canlan Sports is currently looking for a Janitor Worker

We are currently looking for a pro‑active janitor who is a hands‑on individual performing janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure overall upkeep of the complex and grounds. Primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe, including:
  • Property & grounds cleanup
  • Grass cutting and edging
  • Seasonal snow and debris removal
  • Maintain appropriate checklists, records, and reports for:
    • Window cleanliness
    • Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming, auto‑scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in ice maintenance during peak periods, short staffing, or as required

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Valid driver’s license an asset
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
• Approachable and team‑orientated with great communication skills (verbal and written)
