Career opportunity

Canadian Linen/Vestis is looking for a Cleanroom Laundry Operator for their cleanroom facility in Oakville. The position requires the candidate to fold, inspect and package uniforms in a Cleanroom environment.

• Fold, inspect and package uniforms.
• Stage cart and load garments onto cleanroom table.
• Inspect and fold cleanroom garments.
• Identify and segregate merchandise not meeting specified quality standards in terms of rips, tears, holes, and stains; accurately verify merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Place bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets; maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work assigned shift- attendance is required
• Basic math reasoning skills
• Lifting ability: up to 25-50 pounds continuously;
  Push/Pull ability: up to 150 pounds assisted
• Able to stand/walk/sit for 8-10 hours a day
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures and loud noise levels while working with machinery in a safe and conscientious manner
• Must be able to adhere to safety standards

• Prior experience in an industrial laundry or production environment preferred
• Ability to understand work instructions in English preferred
