Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

• Preventive Maintenance on all Equipment
• Service Maintenance on all Equipment
• Optimize Run Time / Minimize Downtimes
• Maintain a clean, efficient, safe and healthy work environment with adherence to health and safety policies and regulations
• Respond to production problems on the floor. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as required.
• Attend to problems with support equipment where capable
• All other responsibilities and duties, as assigned
• Ensure safe work practices, and good manufacturing practices, are being followed
• Other duties as assigned

• Hands on maintenance skills in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Industrial Millwright (Journeyperson) with experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from schematics
• Must possess mechanical aptitude and appropriate experience. Injection molding related experience preferred
• Practical hands on experience in all aspects of equipment repair, including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electronic, and electrical
• Must be qualified forklift operator
• Requires good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a cooperative environment
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and good manufacturing practices
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Certificates or licences appropriate to manufacturing industry loud.
