Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Deburr Technician
- Weekend Night Shift, to be reported to the Weekend Night Shift Machine Shop Supervisor, as the Deburr Technician
, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the schedule and Quality requirements by performing the tasks of deburring, polishing, filing, and cleaning of landing gear components to drawing.
Work Location:
Onsite at Oakville Facility, Ontario – Canada
Shift Hours – Weekend Nights – Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
What You Will Do
Perform ti-etch, deburring, polishing, filing, and cleaning of landing gear components as specified.
Occasionally support robotic deburring processes.
Support quality initiatives by performing operator self-verification (OSV).
Operate overhead cranes to move large parts.
Participate actively in LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Support rework & surface finishing parts as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Require
Typically requires HS diploma.
Labour Experience or/and Manufacturing experience.
The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated ability to work to exact drawing specifications (Dimensional & Finish)
Previous experience Deburring Titanium.
Demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions from production order cards and manufacturing process sheets.
Demonstrated ability to read micrometers / verniers; prior deburr experience.
Demonstrated ability to use Matrix and read & interpret latest MPS/APS
Strong team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to train, multi-task and operate other processes in the cell
Mould and/or Die polishing experience
