Summer Student - Shop Floor

In this position the student will be involved in supporting the assembly and production teams. The student will report to the Shop Supervisor and provide assistance to machine builders, shippers, and electricians. The student will also gain exposure to equipment detail design by participating in an engineering design project before the end of the summer. Depending on project timing, there may be an opportunity to participate in assembly and startup of custom design machines.

• Student enrolled in post‑secondary school in Process Automation Technology or relevant program.
• Completion of at least one prior work term in an automation equipment manufacturing setting.
• Excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
• Ability to work day shift for summer.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Comfortable working in a production floor environment.

Hourly rate: $21.00 CAD
