Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician – Painter/Masker/Sealer who will be reporting to the Night Shift Assembly Supervisor. As the Process Technician – Painter/Masker/Sealant, you will be involved in the preparation and the spray application of primer along with topcoat, and sealant on aircraft components machined on site.

Work Location:
Oakville Facility, Ontario – Canada

Shift Hours – Weekday Night (Monday-Thursday) 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

What You Will Do

  • Part loading, fixturing and unloading.
  • Painting, cleaning, attaching fixtures and demasking.
  • Masking, sanding, cleaning, demasking, cleaning, final paint touch-ups and ink stamping.
  • Mix and apply sealant to bushings, parts and detail components, flight controls, etc
  • Booth and equipment maintenance
  • Perform work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.
  • Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work
  • Development in the cell.
  • Participation in cross-functional training in related processes as required.
  • Multi-task in the cell and perform other duties as assigned including TPM and machine checklist

Qualifications We Require

  • Typically;
    High school diploma, and a minimum of 2 years of current painting or sealant experience
  • Experience in material handling and crane/hoist operations.
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work either independently or collaboratively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner
