Operate advanced CNC equipment onsite in Oakville, Ontario, machining nuclear-grade components with precision, metrology, and safety as priorities.
BWXT Precision Manufacturing Inc. seeks CNC Machinists to operate four and five axis mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment. You will manufacture large precision-machined components for CANDU® nuclear power utilities, working to tolerances below 0.0005 inches. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and supports multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Run multiple BWXT machines and machine complex components
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate assigned CNC equipment
- Read drawings and verify parts against requirements
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Complete machine adjustments, maintenance, and required sign-offs
- Five-plus years operating four and five axis CNC equipment
- Manufacturing education or equivalent CNC machining experience
- Strong metrology, engineering drawing, and GD&T understanding
- Experience using cranes and forklifts
- Nuclear, aerospace, or defence experience is an asset
