Become a valued Registered Practical Nurse with Age Care, providing professional nursing care and leading Personal Support Workers. This role ensures the health and care needs of residents are met.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will collaborate closely with Registered Nurses and the healthcare team. Your expertise in geriatric and long-term care nursing will guide your direction of Personal Support Workers. This position requires adherence to legislative standards and personal health regulations while making a meaningful impact on resident lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing procedures according to Age Care policies
• Liaise with physicians and healthcare team members
• Direct Personal Support Workers in care delivery
• Participate in shift reports detailing resident status
• Address significant resident changes promptly and effectively
Requirements:
• Competence in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with relevant health care acts and standards
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to high-quality resident care
