Registered Nurse OT Surgical Day Care

Halton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OT Surgical Day Care department in a Temporary Part-Time capacity. Utilize your nursing skills to assess, educate, and administer care to patients during their surgical journeys.

In this role, you will commit to a 0.60 FTE position, working day and evening shifts. Your responsibilities will include creating patient care plans, administering medications, and fostering health education among patients and families. Collaborating with a dedicated health team, you will ensure exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments

• Implement care plans and administer prescribed medications

• Provide health education regarding surgical procedures

• Work with the interdisciplinary health team on evaluations

• Communicate effectively with patients and families

Requirements:

• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current BCLS Certification

• Recent experience in surgical nursing

• Strong organizational and teamwork skills

• Competence in Meditech Order Entry module
