Provide compassionate nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse with Age Care, ensuring residents receive appropriate medical attention in a supportive environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams and guide support staff to maintain high care standards.
Age Care is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join its dedicated team. This role requires strong knowledge in geriatric and long-term care nursing. You'll work closely with Registered Nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all resident care needs are met in a nurturing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing care protocols with the healthcare team
• Direct Personal Support Workers as per nursing standards
• Notify physicians about significant changes in resident status
• Participate in shift reports to communicate resident care needs
• Liaise with external health care partners for comprehensive support
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and regulations
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing preferred
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Passionate about quality care and resident well-being
