Part-Time Registered Nurse Birthing Suite

Join Halton Healthcare as a part-time Registered Nurse in the Birthing Suite, providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. This role emphasizes patient-centered approaches and requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts.

As a Registered Nurse, you will support pregnant women through labor and delivery, including both vaginal and Caesarean births. You must hold a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have a minimum of two years recent obstetrics experience. Candidates with excellent communication skills are ideal for this dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide triage and care during labor and birth

• Assist in both vaginal and Caesarean deliveries

• Care for mothers in recovery post-Caesarean

• Support breastfeeding and family-centered care

• Maintain patient records accurately

Requirements:

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Minimum 2 years of recent obstetrics experience

• Obstetric O.R. certificate or experience

• Knowledge of venipuncture and IVs

• Commitment to continuing education
