Position: Public Health Nurse for Infectious Diseases
Support community health as a Public Health Nurse with Halton Region. This contract position focuses on communicable disease management and includes case management and educational outreach.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Communicable Disease, the role involves delivering nursing services in the Health Protection Division. Key responsibilities include managing infectious disease cases, providing health counseling, and developing educational initiatives. You'll also engage in outbreak management and assessments, contributing to vital public health efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cases of infectious diseases effectively

• Provide consultation and health education to various stakeholders

• Investigate outbreaks and respiratory illness incidences

• Implement educational programs on infection control

• Document case management using electronic systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Knowledge of infectious diseases and immunization principles

• Exceptional communication and report writing skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call duties
