Public Health Nurse for Immunization Services

As a Public Health Nurse, you'll collaborate within the Community Health Services Division to administer immunization clinics and enforce the Immunization of School Pupils Act. Bring your expertise in clinical services and health education for diverse age groups and improve community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical assessments and vaccination administration
• Organize immunization services in schools and the community
• Ensure quality and safety throughout clinic operations
• Manage adverse events following vaccination with appropriate interventions
• Create educational initiatives related to immunization services
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current registration in Ontario
• Experience in community and school immunization programs
• Knowledge of Ontario's Publicly Funded Immunization Schedule
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current CPR certification and relevant clinical experience
Support public health initiatives and promote vaccination awareness as part of Halton Region's dedicated nursing team.
