Part-Time Registered Nurse

Developmental Services & Complex Care

Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. | 24 hours/week

$38-47/hour

No overnight shifts.

    What you will do

  • Complete nursing assessments, health-care plans, progress reports, PRN protocols and follow-up documentation.
  • Respond to medical concerns and emergencies, provide follow-up care and liaise with hospital and community providers.
  • Administer treatments, perform nursing procedures and delegated medical acts within CNO standards and organizational policy.
  • Monitor medications, treatments and drug therapy; identify concerns and coordinate recommendations with prescribers and consultants.
  • Educate staff and families on conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy, as well as procedures, treatments and safe care techniques.
  • Complete regular rounds, coordinate referrals and collaborate with hospital and community partners.

    What you bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Current registration as an RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Relevant post-graduate nursing experience supporting people with developmental disabilities, autism, mental-health needs, challenging behaviours and/or dual diagnoses.
  • Strong independent assessment, care planning, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence working autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team, with clear communication and strong documentation skills.
  • Sound clinical judgement and commitment to CNO standards of practice.
