The Nurse Practitioner in Geriatrics works with an interdisciplinary team, utilizing extensive clinical skills to deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires a minimum of three years of nursing experience, preferably with a focus on geriatrics, and encourages involvement in educational and research initiatives to enhance best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide health assessment and diagnosis for geriatric patients

• Collaborate with Geriatricians for comprehensive patient care

• Implement health promotion and prevention strategies

• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans

• Participate in educational and research initiatives

Requirements:

• Current registration in Extended Class with College of Nurses of Ontario

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, geriatric expertise preferred

• CNA Specialty Certification in Gerontology preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
