Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse with robust surgical experience to join our Surgical Day Care team. This position emphasizes collaboration with health care professionals on diverse outpatient surgical cases. Your background in orthopedic care and pain management will play a key role in ensuring exceptional patient journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive patient care within surgical teams
• Collaborate in pre and post-operative planning
• Manage pain and assist patients with anesthesia needs
• Conduct IV insertion and medication administration
• Uphold high standards of patient safety and care
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Proven experience in day surgery and orthopedic care
• Strong capabilities in IV and wound management
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
• Familiarity with electronic health records and software
