Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- Execute cooking techniques and prepare dishes according to State & Main’s recipes and standards.
- Time the steps in each dish and understand the cooking requirements to ensure precise execution and consistency.
- Be knowledgeable about menu items, menu changes, and food preparation procedures to guarantee a remarkably consistent guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage and handling of food items.
- Monitor and manage food quality, presentation, and portion control to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Support the Kitchen Manager and Sous Chefs with daily tasks, including prep work, cooking, and clean‑up.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
