Become a vital part of student safety as a Crossing Guard in Oakville. This role supports children in reaching their schools safely and promotes community well-being through vigilant traffic control.

The Town of Oakville is accepting applications for part-time Crossing Guards. This position plays a crucial role in guiding elementary children at school crossings while wearing safety gear and applying effective judgment. Be available from September to June, ensuring shifts are covered punctually and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safeguard students crossing roads at specific locations

• Signal vehicles to stop when children are crossing

• Wear mandatory safety equipment at all times

• Document any issues or concerns about safety

• Attend scheduled shifts punctually and for their duration

Requirements:

• Strong customer service aptitude and independence

• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods

• Reliable, responsible, and good with children

• Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License beneficial
