We are seeking high-impact talent to join our Systems team for a 4-month co-op term. If you are passionate about software development, artificial intelligence, and cloud technology, and you thrive in collaborative, high-growth environments, we want to hear from you!

As a Software Developer Intern on the Systems team, you will work across the full stack to design, build, and optimize the core platform powering Vitality's driver-behavior features. You will write modern Type Script/React for user interfaces, build robust backend services using C#/.NET and SQL, and leverage Big Query and GCP to process complex telemetry data. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers across the team, gaining deep exposure to modern full-stack development workflows.

4 month work-term beginning January 2027.

Full-time, paid internship:
Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

• Participate in team meetings, planning, and design discussions.
• Use Git (Bitbucket) for source control and follow our code review process.
• Develop UI components using Type Script, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (React).
• Develop backend services and APIs using C# on .NET.
• Write automated unit tests as part of a test-driven workflow.
• Create and maintain database access code using SQL.
• Use Big Query/GCP to help analyze and understand product and telemetry data.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack, from UI to backend to data.
• Write clear technical documentation for the features you build.
• Leverage modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude, Git Hub Copilot) to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and technical documentation workflows.

• Pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with React, Angular, JavaScript/Type Script, HTML, CSS is an asset.
• Knowledge of backend systems such as C# .NET Core / .NET 7+
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude, Git Hub Copilot, ChatGPT) in your workflow is an asset.
